HENRIK LARSSON BORN: 10/9/1971 in Helsingborg, Sweden
HEIGHT: 5' 9 WEIGHT: 11st 2lbs
SIGNED: From Feyenoord in July 1997
OTHER LEAGUE CLUBS: Hogabog BK, Helsingborg
POSSIBLY the best thing to happen to Celtic last season was the decision of the fans' hero to sign a four year extension to his contract and stay in Glasgow.
A member of the Swedish international side who came third in the USA in 1994, Larsson swept the boards in Player of the Year awards last season - both in Scotland and in Sweden - in the process of scoring a phenomenal 39 goals.
After sustaining a double fracture in his leg against Lyon in October '99, it was thought Henrik would be out of action for months, however the Swedish international has made a miraculous recovery against all odds returning to the fold for the final match of the season against Dundee United.

HENRIK LARSSON
GOLDEN BOOT AWARD FOR HENRIK LARSSON
By Jolly Green Giant
Date: 17/6/2001
CELTIC'S No 7 has already seen all sorts of records tumble with his goalscoring exploits this season. But the icing on the cake must surely be his recognition as Europe's Golden Bhoy after the Italian Serie A strikers failed to match his goalscoring skill.
GOLDEN BHOY LARSSON
THE Italian Serie A challenge to Celtic's Larsson faded and died yesterday leaving No 7 as the Golden Bhoy of European strikers.
Despite being on a well-earned holiday in Sweden, Larsson was tuned into Italy's Series A on television urgently scanning the results and the scorers.
And he probably heard the shouts of joy as his many fans let rip when they realised that their favourite had secured the Golden Boot.
Hernan Crespo, the Lazio ace, needed to find the net twice yesterday to pip Henke at the post.
And hearts were fluttering when he scored from the spot in the 45th minute.
But he was unable to bag that second elusive goal against lowly Lecce and the Argentinian had to be content with silver.
AC Milan's Andrei Shevchenko failed to come up with the hat-trick needed to topple the King's Crown and ended up with bronze.
For the first time there was an element of pure, personal joy in Ghod's Golden Boot award.
While waiting for the Italian games to finish, No 7 said: "I'd be lying if I said I'm not keeping an eye on events in Italy, because I am.
"But it won't ruin my season if I don't get the Boot.
"So I will be watching for the results and goalscorers from Serie A in Italy.
"Of course to win the Golden Boot would be a great way to end what has been an incredible season for me, and for Celtic, and obviously I hope Crespo fails to get the goals he needs, as it would be another great memory.
"I always believe the most important thing about the goals is that they help Celtic to victory.
"But it's nice right now, that with the job done, I can just sit back and enjoy having scored them.
"But the fact is we have won a lot of things with Celtic this season, and that is always the most important thing in my mind."
Larsson won with 35 league goals to Crespo's 26 but there was only half-a-point in the race as Serie A goals get two points compared to the 1.5 for the SPL, as it is judged an easier league to score in.
So atthe end Larsson had 52.5 points and Crespo 52 - a breathtaking finish but the Swede is the one with the trophy at the end of the day which gives him and Celtic fans another cause for celebration.
Try and tell Big Flo it's easy to score in Scotland because he disnae believe it.
